Green Chuck Taylors... Anyone?

From a really young age and up until now, when I really want something specific, I dream about it until I get it. Since I was in high school I always really wanted these green Chuck Taylors, and I know a few other people who’ve wanted them too. However, they have never been stocked in South Africa before, not even as a limited edition! I can’t understand why? They’re such a striking colour and every other shade from yellow, to sea-foam to grey tweed has been available here.

Determined to have emerald-clad feet, two of my friends painted their white Chuck Taylors green, and another tried to order them online but it ended up being a cunningly-crooked scam. When I was in London in January, by the time I eventually found a store that stocked them in my size, my budget had reached a point where I had to choose between food/transport or shoes.

Last night they haunted my dreams, meaning they will continue to cloud my mind, most likely until I get them!
