Midas Touch: Vogue Magazine Olympics 2012 Photo shoot

The closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics last night was a grand event and what better way to close off the ceremony but in fashionable style. With the Olympics hosted in Great Britain, the UK Vogue magazine decided to pair up with some of the biggest names in fashion including designers and models to compile a fashion spread entitled “The Midas Touch”. The spread will appear in the September issue of the magazine (Its times like these I wish international fashion mags weren’t so costly) Custom gold designs were created: UK designers, such as Alexander McQueen, Burberry and Victoria Beckham to name a few and also worn by UK models, namely Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. Take a squiz at the pictures below. Because this shoot is in honour of the Olympics, all the designers kept to the “gold” theme for obvious reasons. Winning gold and coming first stands out, wearing gold and looking gloriously regal does too.
