The SAFW Pop Up

The SA Fashion Week Pop Up shops are a well anticipated event, and this season it took place in Sandton City’s Fountain Court. The three day spectacle showcased the work of proudly South African designers such Roman Handt, Suzaan Heyns, Guillotine, Stoned Cherrie and Sies!Isabella as well as Gert-Johan Coetzee and Jessica Rayne for Rayne. This gave people the opportunity to mix and mingle with their favourite designers as well as purchase garments at a reasonable price.

The first day showcased work from Lisa Jaffe for Guillotine, Joel janse van Vuuren and Gert-Johan Coetzee.  On the second day we saw work from Miss Boss Couture, Shirt & Co., Fierce Couture, Karen Monk Klijnstra & Wow Bags as well as Hip Hop. The SAFW student competition also took place on the same day, which Ashley Mathiesen won. The last day featured work from Ellen & Ivy, Kuna Childrens Clothing, Le Beaulieu, Resort by Danela Conti, Unbuttond, EDL Couture, Devota and Karen Monk Klijnstra & Wow Bags.
