Kottin & Twille A/W13
Futuristic Mr Fox opened at Kottin & Twille for A/W13 and I actually felt the childhood story "Fantastic Mr Fox" by Roald Dahl as the first illustration walked down the runway. With a pop of orange and an even greater slice of metallic; the collection started off with a very futuristic, almost Star Trek feel, I even enjoyed the tiresome peplum, with its draped sliver of silver. The second part of the collection, I felt, was also attributed to another story, that of "Where the Wilds Things Are". Warmer browns, tribal print and hair done up like a bear, this part represented a fiery Autumn with knits and black boots. The collection didn't feel cohesive in the sense of one story, but rather like two sets, both credible in their own way.
