Naked Ape A/W13

Naked Ape A/W 13, well to start the men came out dripping in Napa, never a sight for sore eyes. Sheldon of Naked Ape always creates a classic look with a contemporary twist; take his leather jackets for example, they zip both ways, they have more panels then Kate Middleton's wedding corset and they always, and I mean always look like they are made from silk.His take on the classic suit is also interesting, I really enjoyed the earthy colour-blocking and tailored feel of the garments. The black was a little harsh, and the one hood felt out of place and too Alexander Wang-ish, it was too sport-luxe and I did not complimentary to the collection. However the black leather trousers I enjoyed, they gave the collection a biker- safari feel. The panels of print in purple were excessive and perhaps a little too out there, but the sombre blue version on the taupe jacket was phenomenal, a fun pop of colour. Overall Naked Ape has a strong definite style, you can always spot one of his jackets amoung the crowd. He has created an amazing brand that has already set itself apart from the others.
